Today I will undertake a small project. Before I got it, the Sunchaser had undergone a low budget restoration, and fixing that stuff has been a lot of what has gone into it since I have had it. I can’t bitch too much though, as I finally found the last part lost by the guy who did the follow up restore for me. Thankfully, his body and paint work was good.

One of the most annoying things they did was paint the wiper arms poorly, including failing to strip off all of the old paint. No surprise, it has not held up. It is getting worse.

So these are coming off, all the old paint is being removed, and they will be properly painted. My girl is getting prettied up today.

That must drive you nuts to have such shoddy work front and center 2” from the windshield. It should be a relatively easy fix and immensely satisfying.

But for the true eyeliner treatment, you need carlashes!

I had to think about it, the Z just has bare metal, they appear to be original from the stamp. The rear bumper rubber strip on the Merc is the thing I never get to. I have some screws from the inside holding it on to the metal, they have some annoying tabs that have to go in a series of slots. I see it, not sure anyone else does.... Always something more important. When I get this truck done I can go back and think about little issues I have delayed I guess.
